About

Somewhere in the middle of my 20s living somewhere in the middle of the UK with a huge passion for all things automotive and camera-y.

I was 14 and thinking about what I would choose for my GCSEs – I was dead set on being an engineer, after all, I was that kid that would take apart all his toys to see how they worked. Somewhere between then and college, something clicked (camera pun not intended) and I decided I wanted to be a photographer.

Since leaving college with my photography A-level; my work experience has seen me photograph and film almost everything there is to capture. Jewellery, fashion lifestyles, restaurants, beauty products, mobile phones, events – I even did a stint working in the drone industry, which was fun. But there has been one overbearing subject matter that has always held my interest – automotive.

I use ‘automotive’ rather loosely as my biggest passion is motorbikes but I suppose cars take up a big chunk of that subject too.

I believe that a series of photographs should tell a story; I want to feel like I’m there in the moment, not just seeing what is happening but understanding what is going on. Whether it’s an event, a one off project or a series – everything has a story.

Of course, it isn’t all car and bike related. I love to photograph scenery and places whenever I go somewhere new; the stunning accompanying photo of me was taken in the Peak District by the talented Callum Clowes for example.

A more recent interest of mine is of course the FPV drones.

Never before have I been so eager to get out and explore the UK than I have been since I started to fly – you start to see places differently, you look out for places you could fly, the drone is always in the car just in case I stumble across somewhere interesting, it’s very freeing.

I am very passionate about what I do, I forever strive to learn and throw myself in at the deep end. I truly believe that there is no alternative to a sheer passion for something.
