My first actual job shooting a motorsport event!

I feel like I got very lucky with this one, the jewellery company I was photographing for at the time were one of the sponsors for the Cradley Heathens speedway team, so naturally they wanted to photograph one of their races for use in blog posts and marketing materials – I JUMPED at the opportunity, I gave no one else the chance, I WILL be the one to photograph this event!

Being the teams’ official photographer meant I had access to absolutely anywhere I wanted to go; pits, infield, and right up to the fences – I was completely in my element.

Of course, me being me, I captured much more of the event than was ever really asked of me; even shooting into the night to really test the limits of my cameras low light performance, but when has over delivering ever been a bad thing?
